Second set of instructions for the Mystery Quilt were sent out. Let Dawn know if you did not get the email.


Sandridge Heritage Days will be November 7 . Contact Dawn if you would still like to volunteer.


We are looking for donations of fabric for quilt backs. Two yard minimum.


Sign up for the Michael Nardi workshop as soon as you can. He is popular quilter and his workshops fill up quickly.


Modern Quilt group will be going on a shop hop November 11.


Scrap Quilters will meet Friday after Thanksgiving. Doors open at Dawn's house at 3 PM, but come when you can.





Classic Blue and White 2026 Opportunity Quilt



Our 2026 Opportunity Quilt was won by one of our own members, Josephine W. She is a long standing member of our guild.

​Tickets for our 2027 quilt will be ready for the November meeting.


​Membership will be open for renewal. Cost remains at $30.00.




Members Note !



Cookies, crafts and chocolate will highlight our November meeting.

​There will be no cookie walk.

Cookies will be welcome to go with our hot chocolate and tea for the evening.

We will be doing a a craft and having long needles for stringing ornaments, thread and scissors will be helpful.

Remember your 12 days of Christmas gifts if you signed up.

Bring Holiday quilts for Show N Tell.

We will be signing cards for veterans. If you have extra holiday cards and would like to donate them to the effort, it would be appreciated.




Friendship Star



Since 1982, when South Suburban College professor Mary Jane Carlson organized over 80 women at what would become the Heritage Quilters of South Suburbia, members have been dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of quilt making. Quilt making is an art that encourages individualism, creativity, knowledge and enthusiasm in sharing with others.



Meetings



Monthly Meetings are held the third Tuesday of January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November. Meetings start at 6:30 P.M. with a sewing bee or Accuquilt session at 5:30 P.M.

Membership


Members pay $30 in yearly dues. All members are expected to sell raffle tickets for the annual Opportunity Quilt drawing.​ Visitors are welcome for $5 a meeting.
