Shamrock Collage

Supply List for March 17!

1 white background fabric 9 x 12 or larger

2 1/2 - 1 yard of lightweight, paper backed fusible web. Preferred brands are Softweb (OESD) of Fuseme (Dime). Heat and Bond is not recommended.

Scissors for fussy cutting fabric. I prefer Perfect scissors from Karen Kay Buckley.

Iron and Ironing Mat.

Nonstick Pressing Cloth. Best are silicone. You can see through them I.e. Applifuse mat by Gypsy Quilter. You can use an oven liner. Non stick is essential.

Assorted green fabrics. Best if they have a motif that can be fussy cut. Most collages use flower, fruit, animal motifs. Using one fabric is good. The amount you need is dependent on on the size of the motif. Fat Quarters work well.

Friendship Star

Since 1982, when South Suburban College professor Mary Jane Carlson organized over 80 women at what would become the Heritage Quilters of South Suburbia, members have been dedicated to preserving and advancing the art of quilt making. Quilt making is an art that encourages individualism, creativity, knowledge and enthusiasm in sharing with others.
