Welcome to Heritage Quilters'
of South Suburbia

Since 1982 the members of the Heritage Quilters' Guild of South Suburbia have been dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilt making. The art of making quilts is important in encouraging individualism, creativity, knowledge and the enthusiasm in sharing with others.

Welcome to Heritage Quilters'
of South Suburbia

We were saddened to hear of the passing of one of our founding members Jeanette Billstrand. Feb. 18, 1938 to Feb. 1, 2023. She loved quilting and crafts and was active with Heritage Quilters of South Suburbia, Door County Quilt Guild in Sturgeon Bay and Trillium Quilt Guild in Sister Bay, WI.

She was a gifted quilting teacher and a quilting historian. She is survived by her three sons and numerous grandchildren. A memorial is planned for her in the Spring.

Welcome to Heritage Quilters'
of South Suburbia

Another of our founding mothers passed in December peacefully at home. Carol Damiani was a vibrant personality and prolific quilter. She was active in many sewing clubs and organizations over her lifetime.

She especially like attending the Paarlberg Farm historical festival. Her family plans a memorial in the Spring.

2023 Opportunity Quilt

Our 2023 Opportunity Quilt is the 2014 Edyta Sitar sampler. Crafted in her original fabrics, it is a very traditional design in classic blues and whites. Tickets are on sale. Every guild member takes the responsibility of selling a book of raffle tickets. Members volunteer to take the quilt to stores and guilds to display and sell tickets.
